It all started back in 1967, when Herb Morgan opened a humble little workshop on Onehunga Mall Road with just three staff. What began as a small operation quickly grew into a local institution. For over 20 years, Herb ran the tyre workshop becoming the go-to destination for tyres and wheels in Auckland.
In the 1970s, Herb led the way—becoming one of the first in the area to supply alloy wheels alongside tyres. His philosophy was simple: offer good quality tyres at a fair price, and always back it up with excellent service.
In 1990, Herb’s brother Fred took over the business, continuing the legacy and values his brother built. Many of the customers who once came in as young drivers are now returning with their grandkids. That says a lot about the kind of service people get here—honest, friendly, and reliable.
Today, our team of seven brings decades of experience. Some of our crew have been with us for over 20 years. We’ve moved into a modern premises, fitted with two state-of-the-art wheel alignment machines, and one of the few truck tyre changers that uses no levers—just precision.
